CloudFone Thrill530QX Unboxing, Photos, First Impressions

Today, we had a small group meet up with CloudFone people where they let us unbox, play a little, try the camera, do initial benchmarks of the latest addition to their Android-only smartphones, the CloudFone Thrill 530QX.

CloudFone Thrill 530QX

The 5.3-inch Android smartphone by CloudFone which has a Jellybean 4.2 preloaded to it, is a dual-SIM, dual-standby regular SIM has a 12MP rear camera with AF and dual-LED flash, the front camera is perfect for selfie with 5MP.

The box contains regular items you find in other smartphones, but CloudFone Thrill 530QX has included a free OTG cable. Thrill 530QX weighs 200G which justifies the 4500mAH non-replaceable battery.

It has the micro-USB cable, the charger, the headset in all black, including the one color-only Thrill 530QX unit.

We were excited to run some benchmarks immediately, and here are the initial results. You can Google to compare this to other local and international brand.

We also tested the 12MP camera and here’s the initial result. We compared it with our BB Z10 shooter.

The smartphone runs stock Android, but Cloudfone has managed to integrate few apps like the Hi-Camera that features Panorama, Burst shot, Touch Focus, HDR, Picture grid and for the “selfie” community, the Face beauty is a welcome feature. The Face beauty feature is you in-camera Photoshop. 🙂

They also created an app for the Internet hotspot, they called it Hi-Connect.

The CloudFone Thrill530QX is of the same size at the Galaxy Note 2, only it is heavier because of the large capacity battery, it is fast, and screen is bright and produces nice colors, with only 4G ROM you may need to buy micro-SD (up to 32G only), while 1G RAM is enough and reasonable for the Jellybean 4.2 OS. You can feel the weight at 200g. The power button, 3.5mm audio port, microUSB port are all located on top of the phone. The right side has the volume rocker.
