Au Soriano hails from Bauan, Ilocos Norte. She grew up going back and forth to Manila and to her province regularly. Just like a lot of us who grew up in the province, we are are quite used to travelling by bus during Holidays and Long Weekends by bus. Au spent 20+ years in the corporate walls seeing commuters use their smartphones to update social media status, take photos of the food they eat, check e-mails in the bus station while waiting to leave for the province. After her long 20-year stint in the corporate telco, she realized that it is much easier to book a flight to New York, than to get a bus ticket going home to her province. Of to any provincial destination for that matter.
This is where Pinoy Travel came into existence. The app, which has partnership with the local bus companies, will list down available trips and the bus company where you want to take the trip.
When they launched the app, it only list the available trip and bus company which has partnership with them. And just recently, they already unlocked the feature that will make it more easier for the travelling public, you can now book your travel via the App.
