Facebook: How to turn off game requests

I’m sure you are super pissed off already by how your “Facebook” friends throw game requests daily. Even if they know that you are not the guy that will spend time in Facebook just playing online games.

Well, Facebook mobile app has a way of turning off game requests, and here’s how you do it. Thanks to Dia Roberts for sharing this in her timeline on May 10. I thought I can make a blog post about it do educate and help fellow Facebook users to stop these unnecessary requests.

How to turn off game requests in Facebook for Android

1. Launch your Facebook mobile app and goto Menu, scroll down and find App Settings

4. From the Platform menu, you will see all apps that you allowed Facebook to login to. Scroll down to the bottom, and . . .

5. Hit “Turn Off Platform”.

As soon as you turn off Apps, Plugins and Website feature, no more game requests will bother you.

Warning

The bad news is, by turning off the Apps, Plugin and Websites, you will not be able to login into websites or apps using your Facebook account. Your Facebook friends will no longer be able to interact and share with you using apps and websites too.
