Huawei made sure they are not left out by Samsung. Launched in Shanghai recently, the Huawei VR will fit on the recently launched Huawei P9, P9 plus and the bigger brother Mate 8.
Huawei also claims they are the first to introduce a 360-degree sound field, meaning you not only experience VR video but a surround audio. However, you have to be wearing the right headphones to experience this.
Just like the Samsung Gear VR, Huawei VR has a touch panel, a back button, and volume keys on the right side so that you can functionally control the VR.
Also, a VR app must be pre-loaded on the smartphone to enjoy watching videos and games.
The Huawei VR looks similar to the Gear VR wherein you open the top cover and install the smartphone.

Content-wise, Huawei is confident that this device will be favored by the consumer because Huawei will provide 4,000 free movies, more than 40 free games, together with more than 350 panoramic images and 150 panoramic tours.
