A phone that is less than P1k?

We are all up to the android phones, iOS devices, tablets and all. We get excited every time there is a new smartphone that will be announced.

I realized there are still entry level phones. Yes, phones that are within P1k to under P1k prices. I was paying a visit to one of the photography store to this mall and spotted a cellular phone store and checked.

It is not only Cherry Mobile who has phones that are less than P1k. Cherry Mobile C2 has an original price of P799, but right now it being sold for only P699.

But, since Cherry Mobile is positioning its products to be affordable, you cannot be surprised for their price points.

Earlier today, I found these feature phones that are really  low-cost.

This can really be basic phones which you can use to text and call only. Features like FM tuner, Ringtones like MIDI, WAV, MP3, and Polyphonic are what you can play around. OS is the classic Symbian OS. This are the phones that will stay with you for days as far as battery life is concerned.

So this one goes for only P1,210 only – the Nokia 100.

Nokia 100 has a display size of 128 x 160, form factor is candy bar, no internal memory, no external memory too. Battery is 800 mAH that can last more than a month on stand by mode. Talk time is about 7 hours.

Hmmm. So why would you buy this phone? Simple – this is really affordable. You can bring this anywhere and not even worry if a snatcher is beside you in a jeepney ride.

If you think P1,210 is still tough? Take this one, only P870. Can’t believe? Here’s the picture and the price tag.

This one has a 96 x 68 , 1.36 inch and has a monochrome display only. FM tuner is the only feature that is included. Ohh wait! It has flashlight feature. 🙂 Ringtone can be an mp3 file. You can have 500 phone book entries. Price is only P870.

Okay, so with all the smartphones around, are you buying one of these?
