Back in May the unique photo sharing app, Veems, released its Android version. A couple of weeks after its release, it quickly climbed to the top 50 spot in the social app category. If you haven’t tried it yet, Veems allows you to snap a photo, add a four-second sound (your voice, a song, or ambient sound), and upload it to your account. You can also send the content via text message, share it on Facebook and Twitter, or save it on your Camera Roll.
It has quickly become popular among Filipino users who love to take selfies. Instead of simply uploading an image of your selfie, you can make it more unique and exciting by adding an inspirational quote or greeting your fellow users.
While Veems remain to be a fun and collaborative social platform, users can now enjoy private conversations. The team behind Veems noticed that a lot of users share their Skype handles and Facebook profiles in the comments section. They took this as a sign that people want to take the conversation on a more personal level.
Veems stays true to its unique way of sending messages. Now, users can snap a photo, add their own voice, and send it as a private message or “private Veem”. For example, if you want to send a personal birthday greeting to a friend and don’t want to share it publicly, you simply go to your friend’s Veems profile page. Tap on the envelope icon and upload the photo, sing Happy Birthday, and hit send. It’s truly a personal and private birthday greeting!
