The realme 16 Pro Harry Potter Edition is now official in the Philippines at PHP 39,999, and fewer than 200 units will reach local shelves. That makes it one of the rarest limited edition phones Philippines 2026 has seen, and the clock started ticking the moment realme Philippines dropped the announcement on October 29.
Underneath the costume, this is the same realme 16 Pro 5G that launched here in April: a Dimensity 7300 Max chip, a 200MP OIS main camera, and a 7,000mAh battery with 80W charging. What your extra money buys is the wrapping. You get a Magic Brown leather back, a Hogwarts crest that changes color under sunlight, a Hogwarts-themed interface, and a trunk-shaped box stuffed with collectibles.
If you grew up queuing at National Book Store for the next Harry Potter book, this phone knows exactly who you are. The question is whether nostalgia is worth the premium, and whether you can find one before the Potterheads in Fairview and Calamba do.

Magic Brown Design and the Hogwarts Color-Changing Crest Phone
The realme 16 Pro Harry Potter Edition Magic Brown finish uses what realme calls an Enchanted Texture Leather back. Run your thumb across it and you will feel a raised diamond pattern, a nod to the giant wizard chessboard Ron conquered in the first book.
The centerpiece sits in the middle of that back panel. Indoors, the Hogwarts Four-House Crest looks muted. Step outside into Manila sunlight or hit it with UV light and the crest reveals the colors of Gryffindor, Slytherin, Ravenclaw, and Hufflepuff. realme calls this Quadra Light-Sensing Color-changing Tech, and it is the main reason this exists as a Hogwarts color-changing crest phone instead of a regular phone with a sticker.
Expect people at the jeepney stop to ask about it. Our tropical sun will trigger the effect every time you walk out of the mall.
Gold carries the rest of the theme. A Hedwig-inspired camera deco frames the lenses, the same gold runs along the frame, and "Welcome to Hogwarts" is laser-engraved along the side. It reads as premium without crossing into toy territory, which is harder to pull off than it sounds.
Hogwarts Theme Inside realme UI 7.0
realme carried the theme past the hardware. The phone ships with exclusive Hogwarts Castle wallpapers in two moods: Golden Dawn for daytime and Mystic Dusk for night.
The boot-up and fingerprint unlock animations borrow from the Hogwarts acceptance letter, so every unlock feels like an owl delivery. More than 30 app icons get the wizarding treatment. The camera app adds watermarks inspired by the four houses, so your Sunday lunch photos can carry a Ravenclaw stamp if that is your thing.
None of this changes performance. It does make the phone feel different every time you pick it up, and that is the whole pitch for a collector unit.
Inside the realme 16 Pro Harry Potter Edition Gift Box
The realme 16 Pro Harry Potter Edition gift box is a Harry Potter-style trunk with the Hogwarts crest and the phone's name on the lid. realme kept its contents under wraps during the teasers, and the haul is generous:
- A Hogwarts acceptance letter addressed to Mr. Potter
- Postcards of Harry, Ron, and Hermione
- Bookmarks for all four houses
- Hogwarts Crest pins
- A Hogwarts Express ticket marked London to Hogwarts via Platform 9¾
For collectors, the trunk may hold resale value longer than the phone itself. Keep the box intact, keep the plastic on the letter, and do not let your pamangkin claim the pins.
realme 16 Pro Harry Potter Edition vs realme 16 Pro: Is the Premium Worth It?
Here is where the math gets interesting. The realme 16 Pro 5G price Philippines starts at PHP 31,999 for 8GB + 256GB and climbs to PHP 37,999 for 12GB + 512GB. The Harry Potter Edition sits at PHP 39,999.
| realme 16 Pro 5G | realme 16 Pro Harry Potter Edition | |
|---|---|---|
| Price | PHP 31,999 / PHP 37,999 | PHP 39,999 |
| Memory | 8GB + 256GB / 12GB + 512GB | 12GB + 256GB (global config) |
| Colors | Pebble Grey, Orchid Purple | Magic Brown |
| Extras | Standard box | Hogwarts trunk, collectibles, themed UI |
| Availability | Nationwide, online and retail | Under 200 units, select SM stores |
In the realme 16 Pro Harry Potter Edition vs realme 16 Pro matchup, performance is identical. Same chip, same cameras, same battery, same 144Hz screen. You are paying PHP 2,000 over the top regular variant, and if the local unit follows the global 12GB + 256GB spec, you also give up half the storage.
Context helps here. In India, the same edition launched at Rs 62,999 against a regular 12GB + 256GB model that started at Rs 36,999, a gap of more than 70 percent. Philippine pricing is far kinder. A PHP 2,000 premium for a leather back, a color-shifting crest, a themed interface, and a trunk of collectibles is reasonable by collab-phone standards.
Where to Buy realme 16 Pro Harry Potter Edition Philippines
This is not a Shopee flash-sale phone. Fewer than 200 units are coming, and realme is routing them through physical retail.
You can find the realme Harry Potter phone SM stores setup with Hogwarts-inspired displays at:
- SM Fairview
- SM North EDSA
- SM Calamba
Kiosks will also carry it at:
- SM Clark
- SM Dasmariñas
- SM Megamall
Our advice: call ahead or check realme Philippines' Facebook page before you drive to Pampanga or Laguna. With under 200 units split across six locations, some stores may sell out on day one. If you want the regular realme 16 Pro 5G instead, it remains on realme's official online stores: Shopee · Lazada.
TechPatrol Verdict
The realme 16 Pro Harry Potter Edition is a collector's item first and a smartphone second, and realme does not pretend otherwise. The phone underneath is solid: a bright 144Hz AMOLED, a 200MP OIS camera that handles portraits well, and a 7,000mAh battery that survives a full day plus traffic.
Buy it if you are a Potterhead who wants something to display, gift, or hold as a limited release. The PHP 2,000 premium over the 12GB + 512GB model is fair for what comes in the trunk.
Skip it if you only care about specs. The standard realme 16 Pro 5G gives you the same performance, possibly double the storage, and costs PHP 2,000 to PHP 8,000 less. Muggles, that one is for you.
