Summary
The first introduction of realme’s laptop in the Philippines does not surprise me. It’s expected to be on par with its smartphones in terms of quality. Realme’s influence may be observed in the design and construction of the product. It has been shown to be durable and capable of being a workhorse, and the specs are generous.
The realme Book Core i3 version is equipped with an 11th-Gen Intel Core i3-1115G4 dual-core quad-thread CPU, 8GB dual-channel LPDDR4x RAM, and 256GB PCIe SSD storage.
The official price of this variant is P37,990 (USD747.24)
My appreciation for the realme Book Core i3 edition only grew as I wrote the review. The notebook is capable of doing what consumers are already doing. Whether for work, pleasure, or media consumption, the notebook demonstrated its value.
Is Realme book good for students?
The realme Book Core i3 is aimed at a youth demographic, mainly working-class and college students.
This is the consumer group that wants a productivity-focused laptop that isn’t boring to look at.
To cater to that group, realme offers the realme Book series in a cool blue color choice, with a small, lightweight design and enticing features.

realme Philippines Community: A solid fast-growing Facebook Group
This could be among the reasons why I believe that getting the first notebook by realme is a good choice. The Facebook group the brand built is a very active community.
As of this writing, there are 196k members which they call “Squad”.
The group is moderated by squad leaders and you can ask questions here in case your realme device has issues.
A world-class design & build
Two words perfectly define the realme Book: simplicity and beauty.
If you prefer a more understated appearance, the Real Blue or Real Gray variations of this laptop are a must-have.
The realme Book’s matte external finish gives it a premium look, and I was really happy how realme kept the rear clean and neat by adding just one design element – the realme logo etched on the right side under the laptop’s screen.
If you follow the trend, you’ll be reminded of Huawei’s Matebook or the considerably more costly Macbook Air.
realme’s Book is influenced by the above-mentioned designs.
The round edges, small form factor (just 14.99mm), and lightweight signature (only 1.38kg) all speak beautifully to a luxury factor.
Having said that, it’s clear that the realme Book is the kind of laptop you can bring and flaunt everywhere you go, and you won’t feel like you’re carrying a heavy laptop, but one that is nevertheless premium.
The only downside to a slim design would the lack of ports available.
You have to live with only two USB Type-C ports, one USB-A port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
For expansions, you have to purchase a third-party USB hub of sorts.
Battery that lasts longer
The 65W fast charger of the realme Book is very effective in the current times. A half an hour charging brings the battery to 42% full already. That means you can resume your work never worry about battery life.
In our admittedly limited test with the realme Book battery test, the 54Wh battery lasted almost a full day with mild to moderate usage.
A friend of mine who has the same unit did a video loop test with the brightness and volume set at 50 percent. The result is outstanding with more than eight (8) hours until the notebook is dead.
Decent performance
realme Book core i3 is powered by Intel’s Core i3 CPU (i5-1135G7) is the 11th generation Core i3 processor.
It has an adequate 8GB of RAM, 256GB of internal PCIe SSD storage, and Intel Iris Xe graphics, the realme Book is already an incredible option for students and professionals who use laptops on a regular basis.
The realme Book (Core i3) can already work on your Office Suites like Spreadsheets and Documents, emails, and your social media needs.
But you can’t force the laptop to do heavy video editing and perhaps those games that require lots of resources such as video graphics cards and additional RAM.
realme Book seamlessly connects to compatible Android phones
The realme Book is distinguished by its ability to link easily with select Android devices through the PC connect app.
This enables the realme Book to act as an extension of Android smartphones, particularly the realme GT series, allowing for quick file transfer, screen mirroring, and even reading phone alerts directly on the laptop.
We can only hope that realme will make this functionality available for all Android devices, not only the realme GT series.
Conclusion: Impressive Initial Launch
The realme Book is an initial product offering of the number one smartphone brand today.
It is rather impressive based on our review.
It is quite competitive enough to compete with comparable brands.
And I won’t be surprised if realme laptops continue to dominate the market, as they did in the smartphone category, in the next years.
