The successor of last year’s Xiaomi Redmi Pro has been subjected in rumors during the past months, and now, GizChina managed to get at least some of the specifications of the upcoming Xiaomi Redmi Pro 2 with better features.
Unfortunately, the display that will be used is only LCD display, instead of OLED panel which is good in sunlight reading and has vivid colors. The said report also confirms that the handset will have a 3GB RAM variant.
The camera has been downgraded to a dual 12-megapixel and 5-megapixel lens, compared to the predecessors’ dual 16-megapixel sensors. Despite of having some disappointments, the front camera is expected to be a 16-megapixel sensor which is a huge improvement.
Two months ago, the said upcoming phone is listed on the company’s website with some specs included: a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset and a huge 4,100 mAh battery capacity. According to the price at just CNY 1,199 or ~P8,950 in direct conversion, many believe that it’ll be a 2GB RAM variant.
