So now the netizen are talking about the regional product launched recently. I have seen comparison of Xiaomi’s latest flagship, Xiaomi’s Mi4, Huawei’s Honor 6 and Oneplus-One. Xiaomi’s Mi4 is leading the race. But we are not going to talk about it in this post.
I want to share five stuff about Mi4 that you should know before you decide to save up and buy it in August or September.
(1) Mi4’s camera is a Sony camera.
It uses a 13MP f/1.8 IMX214 Sony Camera module. According to Sony, this camera module with 13MP f/1.8 aperture is the industry’s first 13M-Pixel CMOS Image Sensor Enabling HDR Output at 30 Frame per second. Focus is very fast and it locks within just 0.3 seconds.
(2) The 3,080mAh battery is also from Sony
(3) Mi4’s RAM is from Samsung
(4) Xiaomi Mi4 wins the Benchmark War.
There were already benchmarks available three days after the launch in China. They compared Huawei Honor 6 (which uses its own chipset), OnePlus One and Xiaomi Mi4. Xiaomi wins.
(5) There is also a non-LTE variant.
Mi Philippines via its Facebook page has already posted the estimated pricing. The 16G is estimated to be at P14,000 while the 64G will get P17,500. In the teardown article by miui.com, they had the non-LTE model. Now, we are not sure if the pricing provided by Mi PH is the LTE or the non-LTE model.
Even at P17,500, Xiaomi Mi4 is still the cheapest flagship smartphone of today. I don’t know how is the next Samsung or LG’s flagship will be priced after this. Remember that the Samsung and LG’s flagships are priced more than P30k.
