Asus Zenbook gets an upgrade – Zenbook Prime launched

Asus Philippines gathered the media and bloggers in a high end venue in Resorts World Manila to unveil their next Ultrabook, the sucessor of the Zenbook which were launch about three months ago. Zenbook Prime and a couple of other notebooks were launched at the Opus bar at the RW.

The Asus PH team did not talked about what’s under the hood of the new Zenbook Prime instead they highlighted what they called Happiness 2.0

ASUS Country Manager Mr. George Su and Marketing Manager Mrs. Jamie Zaldivar provided the audience with an extensive presentation of the new ASUS notebook and all of its mixtures of Beauty, Sound, Touch, IOIC (Instant On-Instant Connect) and Cloud.

The Zenbook Prime could be similarly compared to what Apple did to their iPhone 4s – an upgrade of its features and specs on the same box. You will see no difference from the old Zenbook in terms of physical appearance aside from the keyboard backlight in the Prime.

The sexiness of the Zenbook is still there, truly ultrathin edges coupled with a brushed metal finish. Instant-On is a feature that will be available in all of the future notebooks of Asus. A 2-second boot up from sleep mode is what Asus Zenbook Prime and the rest of the models promises. On sleep mode the Zenbook Prime can go up to 200 hours standby mode.

In addition all ASUS notebooks feature the ASUS proprietary SonicMaster sound technology which was co- developed with B&O ICEpower. SonicMaster technology brings notebook audio to life, with a combination of fine-tuned software along with superior speakers and oversized resonance chambers.

They likewise demonstrated an improved touchpad experience. Compared to the its competitor Acer and Macbook Air. ASUS enlarge the touchpad and provide more smooth multi-gesture when scroll, swipe, rotate, zoom in & out.

Asus also take you to the could. Sync all your files in the cloud with MyBitCast App, users can quickly sync the notes, photos and audio recording data to various devices at once.

The Asus Zenbook Prime will hit the stores in the Philippines this June for the price of P69,995.00.
