Cherry Mobile, the top mobile phone brand in the Philippines, finally announced the Flare S6, Flare S6 Plus, and the Flare S6 Selfie. But first, let’s talk about the Flare S6 Plus.
This smartphone appears to have an 18:9 aspect ratio, which have been well-received by tech enthusiasts. Previously, most models that integrates this narrow and tall format can cost a lot of money, but, some mobile phone brands have started to release wallet-friendly devices, that’s why the new Cherry Mobile phone with this kind of display proportion won’t break our bank account easily.
The Flare S6 Plus is power-driven by a Mediatek MT6750 chipset paired with Mali-T860 for graphics and sports a 5.7-inch HD+ display. RAM is 4GB, while internal memory is 64GB, though expandable up to 128GB using microSD card. The camera features a quad-camera setup, two on the back and another two on the front, and both has a 16-megapixel lens with secondary 5-megapixel lens, f/2.0 aperture and Samsung sensor. Another highlight? The rear cameras are accompanied by a quad-LED flash. There’s also a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and Hi-Fi audio DAC for better audio experience.
The device runs on Android 7.0 “Nougat”, with the company’s own Cherry OS v2.0 skin on top. Measuring 156.0 x 73.1 x 8.6 mm and weighing in a not so heavy, at 168 grams, the handset packs in a non-removable 3,000mAh battery. Market availability is yet to be confirmed.
