As we recalled, the Doogee V is the one of the first smartphones with under-display fingerprint scanner. It is equipped with 6.21-inch FHD+ Samsung’s Super AMOLED display in a 19:9 aspect ratio. The notch above the screen houses the 16-megapixel front-facing camera with single-LED flash, and a couple of sensors including the proximity and ambient. Unlike the Vivo X20 UD, the Doogee V’s in-dislay is provided by Goodix, instead of the company Synaptics.

The Doogee V is powered by MediaTek MT6771, also known as the Helio P60, and will be the second smartphone in the country with this kind of processor, after the recently-launched OPPO F7. The chipset is coupled with 128GB of storage and 8GB of RAM. In doing so, this is the most affordable device to feature such big amount of RAM. There will be dual camera lenses at the back, a Sony 16-megapixel primary sensor and an 8-megapixel secondary sensor. The 4,000 mAh battery is supported by 9V/2A fast charging fearture. To wrap off the specs, USB Type-C is located on the bottom edge for charging the phone, a Face ID is also available to unlock the device, the A.l. on the camera and runs on the Android 8.1 “Oreo”.

The Doogee VE, on the other hand, is the less powerful sibling of the Doogee V. Instead of the under-display fingerprint sensor, there will be a circular fingerprint scanner at the back, sitting below right of the dual 13-megapixel sensors. The screen carries a 6.18-inch HD+ screen with 1512 x 720 pixels resolution. The notch is incorporated with an 8-megapixel selfie camera and an array of sensors such as the proximity plus the earpiece.

Specs-wise, the Doogee VE is equipped with either MediaTek MT6739 for the 16GB storage and 2GB RAM variant, or the MediaTek MT6750 octa-core processor with 64GB storage and 4GB RAM. In the Philippine market, we will be having the smaller 2GB RAM model. The aforementioned dual camera sensors at the back are the 13-megapixel lenses with dual-LED flash. The 5,000 mAh battery inside the device doesn’t support any fast charging feature. It runs on the stock Android 8.1 “Oreo”. Stay tuned for more details.
