ZTE adds the flagship line-up phones since the start of 2017, as they unveiled the Nubia Z17. It is the second Android phone (after Asus Zenfone AR) to have a whooping 8GB RAM.

Rounding the device’s specs, it comes with a 5.5-inch Full HD panel with bezel-less display on its sides, and a 2.5D unspecified Corning Gorilla Glass sitting on top. At the heart and brain of the phone is the high-end Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 Kryo 280 processor clocked at 2.45Ghz, and coupled with Adreno 540.

Meanwhile, there are three official variants to choose: 64GB storage / 6GB RAM, 128GB / 6GB and 128GB / 8GB RAM. As of this writing, it’s still unknown if the phone is expandable or not. We will update our post when we able to get confirmed details.

The rear camera packs a dual 23MP and 12MP lens with bright f/1.7 aperture and carries 2X optical zoom, same as the iPhone 7 Plus and up to 10X dynamic zoom. It also comes with 6P sapphire glass & Dual Pixel sensors. Meanwhile, 16MP is found in the front camera, with f/2.0 and wide-angle lens.

ZTE Nubia Z17 is the first and only phone right now to have a Quick Charge 4.0, that charges the 3,200 mAh non-removable battery of the device in 25 mins. from 0 to 50%.
For music lovers, there’s a Hi-Fi output on the phone’s Dolby Atmos speakers. The bad side is that the 3.5 mm jack is now gone. We do not know if they’ll provide an adapter in the package. The unibody metal design gives its premium looking at just 7.6 mm slim. It weighs 173 grams.

The fingerprint sensor is now located at the back, which is considerably different, as the typical sensor is embedded in the home button, remarkably the red circular haptic that resides on the front.

Other notable features, the FiT 3.0 (Frame Interactive Technology), that enables the user to swipe the edge of the phone to access for specific functions; IR blaster for remote controlling which can be used in TV and smart home appliances; and, NeoPower 3.0 for battery optimizations.
