Nokia is now preparing to launch new smartphones

The HMD Global, who cover the rights and licensing of the Nokia phones since last year is now ready to release their new devices in a couple of weeks.

As per company’s Facebook cover photo, which has been updated last May 23, there is somewhat a new phone at the lower right of the image that shows an upcoming device will be released, probably the flagship Nokia 9 that has been leaked a few times within the past two months.

Nokia 9

The alleged Nokia 9 will be powered by the high-end 1.9Ghz Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, coupled with 4GB RAM. It will run on Android v7.1.1 ‘Nougat’ out of the box and expected to get an expandable 64GB or 128GB internal storage. A 22.8MP camera equipped with Carl-Zeiss optics could be found on the back and a 12MP camera on the front for selfies.

Specs-wise, the Nokia 9 will have IP68 certified water and dust resistance and will be the first Nokia phone to sport “Nokia OZO audio enhancement”, an advanced spatial audio technology with 3D capture and playback capabilities. A fingerprint scanner embedded in the home button is also suspected.

Other upcoming phones

Interestingly, another alleged phone, the Nokia 8 has been spotted on GeekBench and it will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor which was announced on the first week of May. The smartphone will run on Android 7.1.1 ‘Nougat’ with 3GB RAM inside of it.

Last but not the least, the Nokia 7 will be powered by either Qualcomm Snapdragon 626 or 630 processor. It will also run on Android 7.1.1 ‘Nougat’ with 3GB of RAM.
