Lenovo Philippines had a contest in November called “Own the latest by showing the Oldest working ThinkPad“; today they awarded the winners. There were 10 Finalists, all of them brought their old ThinkPads; and top three winners went home with their new ThinkPads.

This is one of the 10 Finalists – you can see how old and dilapidated the laptop is. But this entry did not make it to the top three. The awarding was done together with the launching of ThinkPad Edge 11.6″ – a Core-i3 powered notebook.

Shown here are Lenovo Country Manager Michael Ngan & Intel’s Wowie Wong inspecting one of the entries. They were probably trying to determine the size of the hard disk of this 13-year old Thinkpad.
Anyway, the winner is Brian Ang; his entry is a ThinkPad 380ED – Pentium 166 MMX, in return he brought home a brand new Lenovo ThinkPad T410.
The top three winners took home these brand new Lenovo ThinkPads.
And the complete event photos are after the jump.
