realme ends August FanFest by topping both IDC and Canalys rankings

realme #1 smartphone brand in PH, now for six consecutive quarters

realme #1 smartphone brand in PH, now for six consecutive quarters.

realme is still the best-selling smartphone brand in the country. International Data Corporation’s (IDC) most recent sell-in report says that the realme brand is number one in the Philippines for the sixth quarter in a row, with a 21.8% total market share.

The Canalys sell-in report for August 2022 shows that realme Philippines is the number one smartphone brand for Q2 2022, with a 20% unit share across all vendors. This makes its position in the Philippines market even stronger.

“Despite the global decline in smartphone shipments this year, realme Philippines stands strong in the face of adversity,” announces Austine Huang, VP for Marketing.

“We are backed by our Filipino customer base, and in return we commit to offer them stylish, quality smartphones and TechLife products at fair, competitive prices. realme remains loyal to its fans, and we’re glad that this back-to-back Number One announcement from IDC and Canalys coincided with the realme FanFest 2022 celebration.”

The realme FanFest 2022 was a month-long campaign based on the #DareToBeYou movement. This was realme’s call to the Filipino youth to be themselves and follow their passions. It grew realme’s interest in four key areas that are important in the digital world today: sports, content creation, entertainment, and entrepreneurship.

At the realme Music Festival, the party came to a close with a free concert by local artists and popular Pinoy Pop groups. Young artists like 6ense, Top Class Five, The Juans, Zack Tabudlo, and the newest realme brand ambassador, VXON, showed fans and the rest of the realme Squad their best songs and dance moves at SM Megamall on August 26.

In honor of the recent milestones, realme Philippines is taking another risk by giving back to the fans who have always been there for them. Starting in September, the realme 9 (6GB+128GB) will be sold on all platforms for just P13,999, which is less than its original Suggested Retail Price of P14,999.

realme Philippines will soon open its official Zalora store to grow its e-commerce business even more. The store will not only sell realme smartphones, but also the whole AIOT and TechLife ecosystem, which includes laptops, tablets, audio, wearables, and home appliances. This growth is in line with what IDC just said, which is that Filipinos use realme tablets more than any other brand as of Q2 2022.
