Smart Communications, Inc. has surged ahead as the Philippines’ leading wireless broadband provider, serving over 430,000 customers nationwide as of Q1 2025.
According to the company, this milestone translates to a solid 44% share of the country’s wireless broadband subscriber base, surpassing its closest competitor, which holds a 42% share within the same period.
“This milestone achievement is a testament to our unwavering pursuit of customer satisfaction and network excellence. Our growing subscriber base and market leadership reflect the trust our customers place in our network and our commitment to delivering world-class connectivity,” said Smart Chief Operating Officer Anastacio R. Martirez.
Bringing Connectivity to Fiber-Limited Areas
Smart’s strong performance follows the strategic launch of its Smart Home WiFi brand, designed to serve Filipino families in areas with limited fiber connectivity. The goal is to ensure no one is left behind in today’s digital age.
As part of this initiative, Smart introduced the Smart 5G Max Turbo WiFi, a prepaid, plug-and-play device that offers hassle-free setup at home, dorms, or small offices. This device can connect up to 15 gadgets at once, delivering fast and stable internet even in areas without fiber.
Experience the Power of 5G
Smart Home WiFi operates on Smart’s robust 5G network, allowing users to stream high-quality videos smoothly, upload and download large files in seconds, instantly post and share content, and enjoy lag-free mobile gaming.
The telco continues to roll out its 5G infrastructure nationwide as part of the PLDT Group’s investments to enhance its integrated network, aiming to provide an elevated customer experience across its services.

“The growth of our broadband subscriber base is just the beginning,” Martirez added. “Our customers can look forward to even more amazing products and innovative services as we continuously strive to delight them and cater to their evolving lifestyle needs – powered by our world-class network.”
