Xiaomi is known for selling smartphones in online markets at the very affordable prices, as part of their market strategy. Now, they want to try the industry using offline stores, hence, they’ll introduce a new sub-brand to compete on other Chinese-made smartphones like Oppo and Vivo.
Yesterday, a poster, which was uploaded in Weibo revealed that the new phone will be called Xiaomi 5X. It is speculated that this could be the first smartphone on the new sub-brand. It features Kris Wu, a Chinese-born Canadian singer and model.

Some of the specs were already mentioned: a 5.5-inch IPS screen with 1080p display, Snapdragon 625 chipset, along with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. A high-end version is also rumored, and it comes with a beefier 6GB RAM and 128GB storage.
Another image has been leaked also and suggests that the fingerprint sensor will be implanted at the front home button. There’s a dual camera set-up in a horizontal pattern, and probably, the first Xiaomi device to have this kind of design which resembles the Apple iPhone 7 Plus.

It is said that the new Xiaomi 5X will be announced on July 26, same as the expected announcement of Meizu Pro 7 with secondary small screen at the back.
