This years MBP (MacbookPro) is a re-engineered, thinner, more powerful and the iPhones Retina display is now adapted to this new notebook, wait.. make it an Ultrabook – as confirmed by Yugatech.

The 2012 MBP is thinner at .71inch versus the 2011 model which is .95inch and it weighs only 4.44lbs.
With the retina display now on MBP, it will be the highest resolution on any laptop today. Its resolution is 2880 x 1800.
Aside from the Retina display, I noticed that the new MBP has no more ODD included, hard drive is gone and is now replaced by SSD. Currently you have two models – a 15-inch MBP with Retina display, the first model has 2.3GHz quad-core Intel Core i7 Turbo Boost up to 3.3GHz the other variant has 2.6GHz quad-core Intel Core i7 Turbo Boost up to 3.6GHz. RAM’s default is 8G but can be expanded to 16G, the 2.6GHz will ship with a 256G SSD while the 3.6GHz will have 512G.
There was no improvement in the battery life, it still promise up to 7 hours of wireless web access and up to 30 days standby. MagSafe is now version 2 – a thinner modification compared to the old model, two thunderbolt ports, 2 USB 3.0 ports, and HDMI and SDXC card slot. The webcam is 720P.

Unless you really put budget to your notebooks or you are a loyal fan of MBP, the price of the entry level 2012 MBP is pegged at P107,990.
