Dell PH unveiled new additions to its commercial series laptops: the Latitude 7000 Series Ultrabooks, Latitude 5000 Series, and Latitude 3000 Series laptops.
The latest addition includes business laptops that are powered by the latest Intel processor, the Haswell. Present in the launch were representative of both Microsoft and Intel Philippines.
Bernard Chua, Business Development Manager at Dell said, the Latitude 3000 series for SMB’s will carry a starting price of USD599, the Latitude 7000 series will have a starting price of USD1,049. While the model for the mid-market Latitude 5000 will be available in the end of October. All of these Dell laptops can be ordered through Dell official reseller partner and specs are can be customized according to each customers need.
Dell Latitude 3440 and 3540 comes with durable and reliable chassis that undergone Highly Accelerated Life Testing, including hinge testing, keyboards and shocks, as mentioned earlier, it comes with the 4th-Gen Intel Core processor with Turbo Mode for fast computing. It has business class discrete graphics with up to 2G video memory for more processing power and a higher quality visual experience. Thin and light at only 21-25mm and starts at 4.3lbs which is designed for great mobility. Choice of 14-inch and 15-inch Anti-glace LCD is available.
The Latitude 7000 series comes with the 12-inch model starting at just 20mm think and 1.3kg; this laptop can be configured up to Core i7 ultra low voltage power processor for extended battery life, a Gorilla Glass NBT on the touch display for scratch-free is also installed.
Bernard also mentioned that the new Latitudes are the only business laptops that are backward compatible with the existing (E) series docks.

All Dell Latitudes comes with Microsoft Windows 8 OS, which has free upgrade to Windows 8.1 which is expected to be released on October 18. This is a welcome development for those who are waiting for the “Start” button to come back.
