Andy Rubin, one of the creators of the biggest operating system ever, Android, reveals the Essential PH-1 with some intriguing yet amazing features, that will compete against Samsung Galaxy S8 and LG G6.

The flagship phone features a dual-lens 13 MP rear cameras, one with RGB and the other is mono (similar to Huawei’s flagship models, P9 and P10); a wide-angle front-facing 8MP camera with 4k video recording; the beastly Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 (10nm) 64-bit octa-core processor; 4GB of RAM; 128GB of non-expandable storage; a 3,040 mAh battery; and runs on Android 7.1 “Nougat”.
Like the iPhone 7 and few smartphones, the 3.5 mm headphone jack is gone. Luckily, an adapter is included in the package.
The screen took almost the entire front panel of the phone with rounded corners, except for the front camera that is cut in the middle. It has a big 5.71-inch Quad HD with an unusual 2560 X 1312 resolution and a wider 19:10 aspect ratio.

At the back of the phone, you’ll notice the two pins at the right side of the dual camera set-up. According to the company behind the PH-1, these two are wireless magnetic connectors that enables the user to snap the accessories that will be needed. One of the modules is the 360 degrees camera that carries a dual 12MP fisheye sensors (210°) with bright f/1.8 aperture, and can record 360° UHD (3840 x 1920) videos. It comes with 4 mics that has 3D audio. The other accessory is the magnetic dock for re-charging, which is sold solely.

Essential Phone was built in a titanium frame, tougher than aluminum and is more scratch resistant. As you can see in the official website, it shows that there is no visible damage when they did the dropped test against its competitors.

Finally, this premium device comes in four colors — Black Moon, Pure White, Stellar Grey and Ocean Depths.
