Honor has set an appointment on May 21 to announce the new Honor 20 series, as part of a press event in London. The announcement arrived today via Twitter and unequivocally refers to a product line rather than a single model – note the term “Series”. Please note that at the end of March, the Honor 20 and 20 Pro were certified by the ECC (Eurasian Economic Commission).

The date is derived from the mathematical operation associated with the message: 444+ (4x4x4) + (4 + 4) / 4 + 44/4. The total is 521, or 5 (May) 21 – for the avoidance of doubt. Honor explicitly confirms it by replying to a user who proposed this solution. The emphasis is on the number “4” which could identify the number of cameras. Certainly the accent is placed on the photographic aspects: the official teaser image shows the image of the London Tower Bridge taken in usually complex lighting conditions to manage for a smartphone (sunrise / sunset and evening) and is associated with the hashtag #CAPTUREWONDER.

According to previous rumors, the Honor 20 camera compartment will be structured in a triple rear module (48MP + 20MP + 8MP) and in a front, a 32MP module is available. The “Pro” version should increase the number of rear cams to four – as  the main sensor could be the Sony IMX600, the same one used by Huawei P30 Pro. The remaining part of the hardware equipment should include Kirin 980 SoC, 6.1″ FHD + OLED display and memory configurations with 6GB or 8GB of RAM, and 128GB or 256GB storage.
