Meizu Pro 7 and Pro 7 Plus with secondary e-ink display at the back leaks

The upcoming flagship of Meizu, the Pro 7 and Pro 7 Plus will be announced at a special event on July 26, and expected to be available in retailers on August 4. The main highlight of the these two flagship phones is the small secondary display at the left part on the rear panel.

According to a leakster, the purpose of the additional screen is for alert reminders such as missed call, new messages and other usual notifications such as date, weather, time and others.

Based on the sources, the smaller variant will sport a 5.2-inch 1080p display while the bigger sibling is either 5.5-inch or 5.7-inch. It will allegedly sold in two memory configurations: 64GB storage + 4GB RAM & 128GB storage + 6GB RAM. A dual-camera setup is located at the back, just above the secondary display with both 12-megapixel lens, one has a Sony IMX386 sensor and the other one will be a Sony IMX286 sensor. For selfie shooters, a 16-megapixel is allocated on that part.

The fingerprint scanner is embedded in the home key and said to feature an mBack multifunctional home key.

A live images of the anticipated handsets has been surfaced across the internet world last week. An insider noted that the display will build in a glass panel instead of the metal uni-body because of the complex manufacturing process.

Let us wait and see if this unique design will manage to be a trending topic in mobile phone industry.
