MetroPCS is now Metro by T-Mobile

Five years into the merger, MetroPCS is changing its branding into Metro By T-Mobile. This was revealed by John Joseph Legere, CEO of T-Mobile US.

Upon full implementation of the new brand name, Metro by T-Mobile will offer four rate plans, including two new options that will include unlimited talk, SMS, and LTE. This will also come along with the services from Google and Amazon.

Plan to start at USD30/Month

Under its new name, Metro by T-Mobile’s base plan will start at USD30 per month. It will include 2GB of LTE. Taxes and other fees are already included in the monthly payment.

Under the new plan, USD50, USD80, and USD140 will have Unlimited LTE data, a 5GB mobile hotspot and a Google One service. Taxes and other fees are also included.

With this development, Metro by T-Mobile would like to impress its subscribers that prepaid subscriptions only offers flip phones. According to the report, Metro by T-Mobile will start to offer a wide list of Android and iOS smartphones across price points.

Moreover, Metro by T-Mobile will also utilize the same network as T-Mobile.

Subscribers can do the switch very soon at over 10,000 Metro by T-Mobile stores across the United States.
