Singapore to Host Major Global Esports Event Mobile Legends Bang Bang (M2)

MOONTON Technology Co. Ltd. is pleased to announce various promotional activities to celebrate the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) M2 World Championship (M2), taking place in Singapore from 18th to 24th January 2021.

Organized by MOONTON in partnership with the Singapore Cybersports and Online Gaming Association (SCOGA) and sponsored by the Singapore Tourism Board (STB), M2 will be the first global offline esports event to take place in Southeast Asia in 2021, as top esports teams from around the world will converge to compete for a prize pool of USD 300,000 in the secure confines of Shangri-La Hotel Singapore

In addition to competing for a bonus pool of USD300,000, the winning team will walk away in cash with USD140,000/- and will also earn its very own skin integrated into a hero of choice with the team’s branding.

MOONTON is also pleased to announce that top esports teams hailing from as far as Japan, Brazil, and Russia will be flying to Singapore to compete in this highly anticipated esports tournament.

MLBB recently crossed one billion downloads on iOS and Android mobile phones in November this year as one of the most successful eSports titles in Southeast Asia and in international markets such as Japan, Brazil and Russia. MOONTON also announced in November that 9.77 billion matches have been played and the top rank of Mythic has been achieved by 9.8 million players. In the past year, the growth of the game has been exponential and it is expected that the M2 World Championship will cross 400 million views across different broadcast channels.

All authorized travellers must comply with the COVID-19 prevention and control criteria and the prevailing regulations on public health. MOONTON has partnered with numerous industry experts to establish operating plans that comply with the local authorities’ necessary Safe Management Measures (SMM). On arrival, a security protocol manual will also be provided to all participants digitally pre-arrival and in hard copy, outlining what needs to be accomplished from leaving their countries, arriving in Singapore, and finally landing back home.
