It costs only P5,499 and has more space and a bigger screen.

This is an excellent choice if you want to give your niece or nephew a budget smartphone that won’t cost you much but will still be appreciated.

For a student who would like to be equipped with a smartphone that does many things, this can also fit your needs.

The Redmi 12C features a sleek and polished design that enhances its ability to resist slipping. The ergonomic design of the device’s unibody and curved back enhances its tactile comfort for users.

The placement of the fingerprint sensor on the camera island appears to have been intended for concealment. However, this location may not provide seamless access and require some acclimation to operate proficiently. However, it effectively fulfills its intended purpose of unlocking the phone and consistently performs as expected.

The phone’s dimensions are 8.77mm in thickness and 192g in weight, which allows for convenient portability in pockets or bags. The power and volume buttons are situated on the right side of the device, providing a pleasing tactile sensation when activated.

The SIM tray located on the opposite side of the device can accommodate two nano-SIM cards and a microSD card, which can potentially support a significant amount of storage space, up to 1TB.

The device is equipped with a standard set of features, including a speaker, microphone, and micro-USB port located on the bottom of the device. The placement of 3.5mm audio jack is situated at the top of the device. Regrettably, the gadget in question does not possess an infrared blaster.

Regrettably, Xiaomi opted not to integrate the more modern Type-C port, which has emerged as the dominant standard in most current devices.

The Redmi 12C boasts a 6.71-inch HD+ Dot Drop screen that delivers impressive visual output at a 1650 x 720 HD+ resolution.

Its 20.6:9 aspect ratio enhances the overall visual experience.

Despite the presence of discernible bezels, particularly at the lower portion, the screen-to-body ratio of 82.6% remains commendable for a display of this size.

The quality of viewing angles is satisfactory.

Nonetheless, it should be noted that the 500-nit luminance threshold may prove insufficient for outdoor usage or when exposed to direct sunlight.

The device additionally incorporates a Reading Mode that adjusts the screen’s lighting to reduce blue light emission, safeguarding the user’s eyes and enhancing the device’s usability.

MediaTek’s Helio G85 chipset powers the Redmi 12C. The CPU comprises eight cores, consisting of two Arm Cortex-A75 CPUs that operate at a maximum frequency of 2GHz and six Cortex-A55 processors that work at a maximum frequency of 1.8GHz. These cores are interconnected by a substantial L3 cache, which enhances the system’s overall performance.

The Redmi 12C features a powerful dual AI camera system at the back, including a 50-megapixel primary camera that captures stunning images with vivid colors and sharp details. The camera has HDR and Night Mode to capture great photos even in low-light conditions!

The Redmi 12C has a powerful 5,000mAh battery that can handle heavy daily usage easily.

It’s great that it supports 10W fast charging! Although it uses the older micro-USB port, it’s still a convenient feature.

You’ll have to charge the battery in three hours fully.
