It is my first time to get hold of a smartphone with a working digital TV receiver. The first one that I got was the Korean version of LG G Pro, but the digital TV receiver isn’t working here.

StarMobile Knight Vision delivers the promise that you can watch local TV shows while you are on mobile mode. You can put this in the dashboard of your car, or put on the stand in your office and you can watch AlDub Kalyeserye during lunch time, or watch TV Patrol while going home after office.
But first, let us take a look at the specs of Knight Vision (KV).
Buy StarMobile Knight Vision from Lazada
It has 5.5-inch IPS LCD with 720×1280 HD screen resolution and 267ppi. It is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6582 processor and has Mali-400 MP2 GPU. A 2G RAM is paired with 16GB internal storage that is expandable via microSD card up to 64G.
The rear camera has 13-MP with autofocus and LED flash while the front camera has 8-MP.
While it has only 3G HSPA+, it supports dual-SIM (one is micro and the second one is regular SIM).
It weighs only 161 grams and equipped with a Li-Po 2450mAh removable battery
What is inside the box
Here’s what you find inside a premium-looking box of StarMobile KV.

The usual package of a smartphone comes only with the “usual” suspects — the USB cable, charger, headset and nothing more.
But StarMobile KV has extras inside the box, they provided free casing and two screen protectors. I am sure this will be appreciated by customers because they don’t need additional cash for accessories like what is included in the package.

First impressions
Out of the box, I thought StarMobile KV is just one of those plain and simple smartphone with mediocre specs and features that will end up with your younger brother because you don’t like it anymore.
I was wrong.
StarMobile KV has unique features can’t be ignored. The TV receiver coupled with a mid-range, but decent specs and a camera that takes pretty pictures will justify the current pricing of this smartphone.
Design and Construction

StarMobile KV has a plastic housing, the edge has metal construction to it. On the right side are the power button and the volume rocker. Concentrated on top are the micro-USB port and the 3.5mm audio port. At the back is a protruding 13-MP camera with LED flash. The speakers are located on the lower left at the back.
There are no physical buttons despite the ample space at the bottom of the screen. And in spite of having Android 4.4 Kitkat OS, KV has capacitive buttons that are equally responsive.

Display and UI
Vibrant and display is what you will get from this smartphone. You can be comfortable immediately because almost everything is stock configuration.
You’d be glad to know that there are very less unnecessary apps we call “bloat wares”.
There are three pre-installed browsers, though. The stock Android browser, Chrome, and Opera Mini. This is not the first time we encountered this. To free up space, you can just choose your favorite browser and uninstall the ones that are not needed.
