By now you probably know already that Xiaomi is a company that doesn’t sell smartphones only. They have other smart devices such as wearable device, drone and action camera. Today, Hugo Barra posted something new on his Facebook account — Mi QiCycle — a folding electric bike for a price tag of RMB2,999 or about P21,170 when converted directly.

Mi QiCYCLE Electric Folding Bike features an extra lean body that weighs only 14.5 kg and armed with a smart app that provides in-depth stats.

Mi QiCYCLE features
For that price, Xiaomi has to justify it with the following features.
IDbike Torque Measurement Method (TMM) sensor intelligently measures the torque you apply and adjusts power based on your pedaling.
Companion smartphone app displays in-depth info: bike status, GPS navigation, ride stats
Panasonic 18650 20 x 2900mAh lithium-ion battery cells (same battery used by Tesla) with self-developed Battery Management System (BMS) that lets you go 45km on a single charge
Shimano Nexus 3-speed gear hub
Provides real-time stats: speed, distance, power, dynamic power, calories consumed
250W, 36V high-speed motor
We are unsure if they will bring it in the Philippines officially, but the gray market perhaps can take the chance.
