Even before the current Zenfone 3 Max (ZC502TL) becomes hot, another version came up at the ASUS website. This time a bigger display with a different CPU and two configurations to choose from. The Zenfone 3 Max (ZC553KL) is now official.
A 5.5-inch Zenfone 3 Max with Snapdragon 430
The new variant does not only comes with a bigger display of 5.5-inch, but it has a new stuff under the hood. It is powered by a 64-bit Qualcomm Octa-Core Processor Snapdragon 430. There are two sub-models in tow: one has a 2G RAM and the other packs a 3G RAM. But we see the same internal storage with the first model – a 32G with microSD support.
Other familiar features
We see similar construction and design including the fingerprint sensor. Everything is housed in a metal body. Placements of buttons seem to be the same as the ZC502TL model.
On the connectivity department, they all look similar – 4G/LTE, 802.11 bgn WiFi, Bluetooth version of this device is 4.1.
SIM cards are different. This one, the ZC553KL carries a dual SIM, one is a micro and the other is a nano.
While it gives you the liberty to expand the current 32G built-in storage, you may expand it and kill the second SIM card slot.
