The Araneta Center in Quezon City was flooded by beauty queens recently and their official escort is the Miata Club of the Philippines.

About 60 units of MX-5s composed of all four generations of the iconic two-seat roadster were on hand as the official transports of the beauty pageant’s 40 contestants and VIPs. The car owners themselves became their assigned candidates’ chauffeurs for the afternoon. Not only did the parade highlight the stunning beauty of the candidates but also the design evolution of all MX-5 models.

“Mazda Philippines has always been supportive of MCP’s various activities,” shares Steven Tan, president and CEO of Bermaz Auto Philippines, the exclusive distributors of Mazda vehicles and parts in the country. He adds, “Club events such as these enhance the MX-5 ownership experience and further strengthen the emotional bonds between the cars and their owners.”

Among the gorgeous Miatas that took part in this year’s Parade of Beauties is the first ever MX-5 RF. The retractable hard top version of the fourth generation MX-5 was recently launched at the Manila International Auto Show. MCP members were among the first to take delivery of the latest variant of the MX-5.

The MX-5 has been the exclusive ride of the pageant candidates at the highly anticipated Parade of Beauties since 2008. MCP has never failed to produce enough cars for all the years it was commissioned to grace the event. As such, it is the only roadster club in the Philippines capable of providing the numbers to compliment the beautiful candidates as they compete for the crowd’s attention and favor.
