Overview
The Tapo C325WB from TP-Link is not merely another security camera; rather, it is your watchful protector, always keeping an eye on your residence, even while you are thousands of miles away.
However, what exactly is behind all of this excitement, and why are people so enthusiastic about it?
Let us dig in and discover the wonders that the Tapo C325WB has to offer.
Features
The Tapo C325WB has many functions that are meant to give you peace of mind.
This camera does everything: it has high-resolution video that records every detail and night vision that lets you see even in the darkest places.
The two-way audio lets you talk to family or scare away intruders, and the motion recognition lets you know if anything is amiss.
Plus, you can store your videos locally, which keeps them safe and only lets you view them.
Here’s a summary of features we found on the TP-Link website about the Tapo C325WB:
- ColorPro Night Vision. Offers professional security by showing clear, colorful pictures without any lighting, even when there is very little light. Feel its superiority and see things clearly as if it were daylight at night.
- F1.0 Super-Aperture Lens & 1/1.79”Large Sensor. An F1.0 super-aperture lens lets in 4 times more light than an F2.0 lens, and a 1/1.79″ sensor has a bigger target surface and better sensitivity than a normal 1/2.7″ sensor. Both are important for showing colors when there is very little light.
- 2K QHD Live View. Tapo C325WB adopts a 2688×1520 resolution, capturing sharper images with 2× more pixels than 1080p.
- Person/Animal/Vehicle Detection. Smart AI can tell the difference between people, animals, and cars and let users know when it does. Everything is given for free.
- Customizable Motion Detection. You can set up activity zones or boundaries and get instant alerts whenever motion is noticed in those areas.
- Secure Local and Cloud Storage. Save recorded video to a microSD card(up to 512 GB)†or by using Tapo Care cloud storage services.
- IP66 Weatherproof. Offers excellent waterproof and dustproof performance for outdoor scenarios.
- Wireless/Wired Networking. Connect the camera to your network through Ethernet or Wi-Fi for more flexible installation.
- Wide Field of View. A wide FOV up to 127° provides a larger detection range covering more space, enabling you to focus on more vital areas.

Performance
There are a lot of great things about the Tapo C325WB outdoor security Wi-Fi camera.
It has a resolution of 2688×1520 and can produce high-resolution videos with pictures that are very clear and full of detail.
This footage above was recorded upon a trigger that I pre-configured in the app. The app will record footage once the trigger has been hit.
This is how I configured the app to record a clip once a trigger is met.
Here’s another clip that was recorded when an animal entered the premises.
Note that the clip above was recorded at night. Notice how clear the footage is.
It has high-tech features like color night vision that make sure the video is clear and sharp even when there isn’t much light.
Within the Tapo mobile app, the camera has its own section on the home screen.
You can watch the live feed in landscape (full-screen) mode by turning your phone sideways or tapping the four-arrow button at the bottom of the video panel after hitting the panel.
Other buttons in this row let you spit the screen when using more than one camera with up to four cameras that can be used on a single screen, take a picture, record a video clip by hand, and ignore the sound.
The camera’s HDR features help make the video feeds clear and the colors bright.
Overall, the Tapo C325WB stands out as a trustworthy and feature-packed outdoor security camera that gets good reviews for how well it works and what it can do.
Conclusion
Tapo C325 WB is a product of TP-Link. And when you install the app, you’ll discover that TAPO isn’t just about home CCTV; there is a lot more. It’s an ecosystem.
I am glad that I was able to write the Tapo C325WB Review not only because it is a product of TP-Link, but also because the promise of high-quality 2K video and the alerts are quite accurate.
- Excellent video quality. Other security cameras try to entice people by claiming to have 2K video quality. There, the C325WB is the same. But as soon as this camera starts working, it’s clear that Tapo has produced incredible results to support the claim. The HDR feature of the Tapo outdoor security camera enhances the sharpness and detail of the daytime video. The C325WB performs quite well at night. With features such as a bigger sensor, an F1.0 super-aperture lens to collect more light, and image-optimization algorithms to boost clarity, brightness, and saturation, the C325WB is outfitted with Tapo’s ColorPro Night Vision technology. This is why the nighttime video quality from the outside camera is among the best.
- Easy to install. You only need one electrical outlet where you want to install it. The wired connectivity is also optional. I connected ours via our home Wi-Fi. With the help of the Tapo app, the installation became so easy.
- The alerts are accurate. I configured ours to record a clip when a human, a pet, or something has crossed the line. This has been accurate.
