The Lenovo enterprise group has forged a global partnership with Nutanix.
Nutanix is a US company that specialize in enterprise virtualization and storage.
Lenovo is a leader in providing innovative consumer, commercial, and enterprise technology.
The two companies announced late last year a strategic partnership to develop, market and sell a new family of Lenovo hyperconverged appliances powered by Nutanix software.
Both companies have underlined the strategic importance for organizations to focus on innovation, in order to continue achieving business success in the “Third Platform” era.
On April 6, the partnership has been introduced in the Philippine market. During the roundtable discussion, Lenovo officially announced the availability of Lenovo hyperconverged appliances powered by Nutanix software in the Philippines.
The prospective customer might ask what are the strengths of these companies. Refer to the table below for a snapshot of what this partnership can offer.
According to IDC, they are seeing a mega transition of enterprises into the digital era. Enterprises will be flipping the switch, committing to a massive new scale of digital transformation and “Third platform technologies” in order to stake out leadership positions in the hyper-digital economy. IDC predicts that by 2017, over 60% of organizations’ ICT spending will be for Third Platform technologies, solutions and services, rising to nearly 80% by 2020.
While CIOs juggle these business challenges, they are also being bombarded by a plethora of technologies such as private/hybrid cloud, converged/hyper-converged systems and software-defined, making it difficult for them to make the right IT infrastructure decisions for their business.
“Enterprise needs are changing and the demand for varied server as well as other supporting infrastructure offerings are growing rapidly. Selecting the right technologies is only part of the job; integrating them into services that meet business needs and building scalable processes for provisioning and support represent the more complicated and challenging part of capturing value from innovation. Lenovo products and solutions are designed to transform enterprise IT into a growth engine for greater efficiency, agility and resiliency, allowing them to do more with less,” said Abraham Lim, Lenovo Enterprise Business Group Leader, Lenovo Philippines.
This strategic partnership offers jointly-developed hyperconverged appliances, featuring several of the latest Intel technologies and will run nearly all workloads, including enterprise applications, databases, virtualized desktops, and big data analytics, with improved efficiency and scalability.
The Lenovo Hyperconverged appliances powered by Nutanix software can co-exist with company’s IT infrastructure. Both enterprise and SMB market can benefit from these private cloud solution.
