Samsung Philippines launches their latest flagships few hours after the official announcement the MWC (Mobile World Congress) in Barcelona, Spain February 22, 2016.
The looks and design are almost the same of the former but Samsung said it has better specs, better camera and they had the micro-SD back this time and more importantly, both the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge are water and dust resistant now. You can submerge them into to water for about half an hour without having to worry.
Galaxy S7 & S7 Edge features
IP68 water & dust resistant. Both models are durable and designed to function even in unfavorable conditions, the S7 & S7 Edge are capless, water and dust resistant ensuring that it could survive wet conditions like rain or being accidentally dropped into the pool up to 1.5 meters for half an hour.
It is also safe from ingress of solid foreign objects like sand, dust or soil.
DSRL-quality real pixel camera. Dual pixel camera is a new feature that uses a dual photodiode technology which was originally used in pro DSLRS is now present with S7 and S7 Edge. You can expect faster Auto Focus for crisp, and clear photos from S7 and S7 Edge.
Both cameras, the rear and the front, have both F/1.7 opening allowing bright photos to be taken in low-light conditions.
The base 32G internal storage can be augmented via the micro SD slot that can be loaded with up to 200G.
Batteries are also upgraded, S7 now sports a 3,000mAH while the S7 Edge has 3,600mAH.
Super AMOLED QHD display is present on a body of glass and metal finish. The S7 Edge now features a dual-edge display with 5.5-inch.
