Globe announces Netflix-like service; P199 Unli with HOOQ

Globe today announces their latest subscription service. Last year, they partnered with Spotify to deliver music streaming service. This year, the Phillippines is the first to get the video streaming service from Hooq via Globe.

Globe also announced that Peter Bithos will be HOOQ’s CEO.

HOOQ is a streaming service similar to Netflix in the US.

The video streaming service will be available to all Globe subscribers for only P199 per month.

Subscribers can enjoy watching 10,000 titles varying from local to international content.

Sony Pictures and Warner Brothers are the top global content providers. Local content to be provided by Abs-CBN, Regal Films, Viva Entertainment, and GMA.

HOOQ service will also be available in countries like Indonesia, India and Thailand. These are the countries where Singtel has a strong presence.
