The enterprise brand Jabra has sent us this review unit – the Jabra Biz 2300 series, a USB UC duo model. Better used in a call center, Biz 2300 has minimal design, non-bending micrphone, plastic housing, replaceable foam ear cushion, corded USB with in-line controller.
Jabra Biz 2300 is available through official resellers and parters of Jabra, you can’t buy this from the stores in the mall. You need to contact an official partner or reseller of Jabra in the Philippines.
The in-line controller has the buttons you need while engage on cal voice call – volume control, mute button, hang up buttons. It is very lightweight, so that it won’t strain your ears or head even on a longer usage.
The mic is not bendable but you move it on just one direction. It has the required industry standard noise cancellation. I have used it several times on a Skype call with my TV turned on. My Skype call would last 15 to 20 minutes without the other party hearing the sound from my TV set.
Just plug and play, and work!
On Mac, there is no need for drivers. Simple plug it in, change the device input and output at the system preference menu and you are all good. You can use it to call on Viber, Skype or any calling app you have in your desktop or laptop.
For the call center operations, Jabra Biz is best used with a soft phone provided for or the Jabra PC Suite.
If you are in need of a industry standard headset for your contact center, and if you have budget for a high quality headset, go for Jabra Biz 2300 series. It is built to last, very lightweight and the crystal clear audio. There is only one problem I can see that will surely happen in the future — the cord is not replaceable, meaning if you damage it, you have to replace the entire headset.
Jabra Biz 2300 series has a list price of USD149.00
