Aside from selling Windows OS, the giant software company has entered the market of back up batteries. Known to many as power bank, Microsoft announces Portable Power — a portable power bank with 6,000mAH battery.

According to Microsoft, it will take four hours to fully charge the Portable Power. On standby, the power bank from Microsoft can last up to six months retaining its 80% juice.

It has the usual ports you will see in your power bank — a microUSB and a USB port. It will have several colors just like your Lumia smarpthones — White, Bright Green, Bright Orange.

When it comes out this October, the price tag is USD49.
