Motorola intros Moto E4 and E4 Plus: budget-friendly phones, priced starts at $130

Motorola announced globally today the successor of last year’s Moto E3 family. Meet, the new Moto E4 and E4 Plus. These handsets are very affordable and competitive to other devices in its price range, with major upgrades in camera quality and battery life.

The Moto E4 carries a 5-inch HD display with fingerprint sensor on the home button, just below the screen. It packs a rare removable battery with 2,800 mAh capacity, for all-day usage. The phone offers 16GB of internal storage, that can expanded using microSD card up to 128GB. For North American citizens like in U.S., the phone will have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 or 427 chipset (carrier dependent), clocked at 1.4Ghz; while for countries outside the continent, users will get the MediaTek MT6737M. For camera department, the handset has an 8-megapixel lens while on the front, a 5-megapixel could be found, and paired with a dedicated single-LED flash.

The Moto E4 Plus has a bigger 5.5-inch IPS panel with Corning Gorilla Glass 3, and uses a water-repellent nanocoating for protection. It is fueled by a massive 5,000 mAh battery capacity, which the company claims that you should have 2 days of continuous usage. There’s a 10W of rapid charger that gives hours of battery life in just a few minutes of charging. As mentioned in Moto E4, it also sports a 64-bit quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 or 427 for U.S. & MediaTek MT6737M processor in global release. In terms of storage, user can get, either an expandable 16GB or 32GB, depending on regional availability. It comes in a larger 3GB RAM and 13-megapixel lens in rear camera, with beautification mode and single-LED flash. The selfie camera sports a 5-megapixel sensor with LED flash too. Other connectivity includes Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.1 and GPS.

According to Motorola, both Moto E4 and Moto E4 Plus runs on a near-stock Android v7.1.1 “Nougat” and will be available in many countries this month.
