Design & Build

The realme GT Neo 3 has a 6.7-inch screen with a Full HD+ resolution and 394ppi.

Because the panel is AMOLED, it produces deep blacks with vibrant colors. And there’s the Gorilla Glass 5 that shields the display.

The 120H refresh rate ensures smooth animations and transitions. The hole for the 16MP selfie camera is located above the screen, and the earpiece is located directly above it, in the bezel.

The volume controls are found on the right side, as is the textured power button.

The buttons are tactile yet firm and quiet. They’re also easy to reach because they’re placed right in the middle of the frame, where your fingers naturally land when holding the device.

Looking up, we can see the secondary microphone and loudspeaker. The card tray for dual nano SIM cards, main microphone, USB-C port, and loudspeaker are located at the bottom.

The protruding camera module at the back houses the 50MP Sony IMX766 main camera, the 8MP ultra-wide, the 2MP macro, and the LED flash.

The Realme GT Neo 3 looks and works like a top-of-the-line device. When you buy it, you can choose from two colors: Spring White and Nitro Blue.

The racing stripes on the back and the way it looks give the impression that it is made for performance. Especially for gamers and content creators as well.

The metal frame has a smooth finish that feels cool to the touch. The back panel also has a smooth finish that keeps fingerprints and smudges from sticking to it.

Even though it is a little bit huge, it is not hard to hold. Even so, you’ll probably need to use both hands to get around.

If you want to keep it somewhere safe, there is a clear case in the package for you to use.

Display

With a 6.7-inch Full HD+ screen, the realme GT Neo 3 is an impressive smartphone. This has a fantastic screen, especially with its AMOLED screen, both the colors and the blacks are rich and vivid. The field of view is also very good.

There are various color profiles from which to select in order to customize the display settings. The Pro setting displays colors more accurately by employing a cinematic Display P3 profile. Additionally, HDR content is supported. However, doing any of the following will dramatically increase the phone’s energy usage and heat output.

The phone has stereo sound for listening to music or movies. It’s far more refined than its predecessors, and the overall effect is a remarkable improvement. Excellent for a quick YouTube fix on the fly.

Cameras

The smartphone boasts of its 50MP Sony IMX766 primary with optical image stabilization (OIS. There’s also that ultra-wide 8MP for group shots and landscape photos and a 2MP for close-up shots.

The vlogging or selfie camera comes with a 6MP shooter.

Sample shots

By adjusting the exposure level, you’ll get an amazing photo.
Close-up shots are accurate as well.

I discovered that the image quality was crisp, and bright, featured an adequate dynamic range, and presented colors that were true to life.

Especially when use indoors, it was efficient at illuminating the area while simultaneously drawing attention to minute details.

Even when the lighting is poor, the camera maintains color and does a good job of exposing the subject; unfortunately, the camera cannot capture the finer details. Perhaps you could make the same argument with selfies.

Software

The realme GT Neo 3 is powered by an operating system and software that incorporates a realme UI 3.0 that is based on Android 12.

The user interface is simple to browse and makes use of many home screens for various applications. It comes pre-installed with what we call bloat apps, but it is probably there to promote its own ecosystem –The app market, Phone Manager, which includes tools for optimizing the device, Game Center, Smart Sidebar, Kid Space, and Flexible windows (floating windows).

Overall, I like the software optimization on the GT Neo 3. The only thing that annoys me is the consistent ads from the app market promotions.

Performance

The realme GT Neo 3 would be nothing without the stuff behind the hood, despite all we’ve said so far.

A MediaTek Dimensity 8100 chipset with an octa-core processor clocked up to 2.85GHz and Mali-G610 GPU, 8GB of RAM, and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage is included.

realme also claims that it has a Dedicated Display Processor that can maintain 120fps in applications.

I had no problems as a daily driver over the last few weeks. There are no difficulties with overheating, stalling, or sudden battery discharge.

The GT Neo 3’s battery capacity is 5,000mAh. In today’s competitive environment, it is quite substantial. When it comes to charging, it offers an 80W SuperDart rapid charge, which can charge the battery from 0% to 50% in 12 minutes. You would always want a fast charging experience on your phone today and GT Neo 3 has got your back.

Conclusion

The realme GT Neo 3 is a solid flagship smartphone from realme. Aside from its premium-looking sporty design, there’s that great display, powerful performance, good cameras, and a long battery life that charges quickly.

And like I mentioned earlier, the only annoying thing that concerns me is the pre-installed apps and the ads that pops-up randomly.

Finally, the P29.9k SRP, I guess is reasonable.
