Design and Build
Can we immediately say that the X3 Super Zoom, after our quick unboxing, is a flagship device?
Let’s have a quick tour of its design and build.
If you’ll base your immediate judgment out of the retail box, you’ll say it is just one of those realme smartphones.
But wait until you hold the SD855+ powered device.
The back is made of premium material. A very smooth finish can be observed here and I’d like to highlight that it may be made of high-quality plastic, the “expensive” matte finish is there and it is anti smudges and fingerprints.
And if you came across our realme 6 Pro Review you’ll find some similarities — the placement of the fingerprint scanner, the camera modules (both the front and the rear), and the size.
The only difference we’ve spotted is the SIM tray. The X3 SuperZoom no longer implemented a 3-card slot, instead, it used a dual-Nano SIM which is just okay given default internal storage.
Again, aside from the retail box which comes with a standard packaging from realme, the phone possesses a premium look and feel to it.
The default UI looks pale to me, but after tweaking it to my liking, I get the best experience already. I like the dark mode better.
The X3 Super Zoom has a 120Hz refresh rate. That’s one of the highest refresh rates on a smartphone launched recently.
If the local pricing will be as competitive as their budget and mid ranges phones. The X3 Super Zoom can be realme’s next big success in the smartphone category.
