SJCAM, a China brand action camera maker has launched three new models. The SJCAM SJ8 Series with a competitive price was launched in the Philippines recently.
The three models, the SJ8 Pro, SJ8 Plus and SJ8 Air are geared towards different action camera enthusiasts.
At the launch, SJCAM not only re-assured their relationship with Lazada but opened up more channels by putting up an exclusive Shopee store. There are also select offline partners who attended the event.
SJCAM SJ8 Air
The budget SJ8 series is the Air, it has a 14.24MP Panasonic MN34112PA 1/2.33-inch sensor coupled with 7G 160-degree wide angle lens.
It can do video recording up to 1269p at 2304×1296 resolution. If you wish to use it as a standard shooter, it can save images up to 12MP. It has USB Type-C port, 1200mAh battery, WiFi, and micro SD card support up to 128GB.
The SJ8 Air has 2.33-inch IPS touchscreen display with 720×480 resolution and is powered by Novatek NT96658.
SJCAM SJ8 Plus
This action camera has dual screen setup. There’s a a 2.33-inch IPS display with 720×480 resolution and a 0.96-inch 128×64 OLED display. It is also powered by a Novatek chipset NT96683.
The SJ8 Plus has Sony IMX117 sensor with 12MP resolution, f/2.8 aperture, and a 7G 170-degrees wide-angle lens.
Furthermore, this action camera records a 4K video and a 12MP photos. It has also 3-axis gyroscope sensor for stabilization, and an electronic image stabilization (EIS).
Like the Air the SJ8 Plus has 1200mAh battery, WiFi, micro SD card support up to 128GB and uses USB Type-C port.
SJCAM SJ8 Pro
The SJ8 Pro has the specs you want to get among the SJ8 series. It will record a 4K video in MP4 format, a 12MP for photos, plus it has 8x optical zoom.
There is Ambarella H22 Chipset that powers the SJ8 Pro and it has Sony IMX377 sensor.
It has the same 1200mAH battery, WiFi, MicroSD support up to 127GB, USB Typ-C. It has also dual screen as the SJ8 Plus.
