VIVO Philippines is just new in the country yet it seems to me that the brand is really serious in penetrating the Pinoy consumer.
In the grand launch on Wednesday, November 23, 2016, of the VIVO V5, they also announced partnerships with five (5) other companies.
VIVO x SM Supermalls
The partnership sealed with SM Supermalls will bring the VIVO smartphones to the mass market that are frequent in one of the biggest malls in the Philippines. Currently, there are about 60 malls under the SM group.
VIVO x Capdase
Sealing a partnership with Capdase sends a message that VIVO is here for a long term. This means you will see original and high-quality third-party cases for future VIVO smartphones. VIVO stores will also start selling CAPDASE items.
VIVO x Argomall
Online shopping is becoming so popular in the Philippines now. While the some are enjoying buying from Lazada, VIVO has partnered with Argomall. As of this posting, we’ve already spotted about nine (9) VIVO SKUs at the e-Commerce site Argomall.
VIVO x Flexi Finance & Home Credit
If you don’t have cash to pay for the VIVO V5 (and other current models), you might as well go to any Flexi Finance and Home Credit stores and just get the device on an installment basis.
Teased: VIVO V5 Plus
Aside from the VIVO V5, a bumped version, the V5 Plus was also announced during the grand launch. The V5 Plus is a 5.5-inch device housed on a 5.2 body, therefore it will look and feel smaller than the regular 5.5-incher.
Dual Front Cameras. Equipped with dual front camera, the V5 Plus will likewise get the 20MP Sony IMX376 sensor and another 8MP front cameras. The rear camera will have a 16 Megapixel shooter.
It will have the latest Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection and a 2.5D curved glass.
Other details, such as storage, RAM, and CPU were not disclosed during the event.
