vivo V5 Lite is real!

I guess vivo is really serious in stealing the spotlight in the “selfie” audience. While we are expecting the vivo V5 Plus this weekend, a lite version of the V5 was unveiled and it has rather decent specs, less the now-famous fingerprint scanner.

vivo V5 lite sports a 5.5-inch screen with HD 720p resolution and has 3,00mAH with Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS and its own UI called Funtouch OS version 3.0.

The front-camera is equipped with 15MP with a continuous light feature which they call softlight for a perfect selfie. The opening or aperture of the front camera is F/2.0. The rear camera has 13MP with f/2.0 aperture and has Autofocus and LED flash.

The lite version of the V5 is powered by 1.5 GHz 64 Bit MT6750 octa-core CPU.

In the connectivity department, the V5 Lite has 4G VoLTE, 3G, Glonass, GPS, USB 2.0, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, GPS, OTG and FM Radio support. Dimensions are 153.8 x 75.5 x 7.6mm and weighs 155 grams.

Availability and pricing

According to reports, the vivo V5 lite will be available in select Southeast Asian countries, Philippines included. Official local price is still TBD.
