Starting October 2, 2023, CMC in the Philippines will become part of BDO, the world’s fifth-largest accounting network. With a robust global network and a team of experienced and forward-thinking accountants, the new company will be called BDO CMC.
“We are committed to providing our clients with exceptional service and advice, whilst maintaining the utmost integrity,” shares BDO CMC Managing Partner David V. Cruz. He adds “We believe that client relationships are based not only on technical excellence, but equally on human relationships of respect, trust, and transparency.
Cruz has worked for the Philippines’ “Big 4” firms for 20 years, doing audits, giving advice, and outsourcing work for both local and international clients in a wide range of businesses.
His deputy, Mohammad Zidni Marohombsar, has been a professional accountant for almost twenty years and has worked as a specialist in public sector issues and as a project and public financial manager for international development organizations. The Asian Development Bank, the International Fund for Agricultural Development, and the World Bank have all hired him for projects. He has also worked for one of the biggest accounting firms in the Philippines.
Says Marohombsar, “We’re excited with the appointment as a new member of the BDO network in The Philippines. BDO professionals take personal responsibility for their work, delivering on services to clients at the highest level.
Riazel D. Bontia, a partner at BDO CMC, and Benedict Ines, head of tax law, round out the team. Bontia has worked for a lot of different companies, including Ayala Land, Inc., Deutsche Knowledge Services Pte. Ltd., and Maxicare Healthcare, Corp. Atty. Ines, on the other hand, has 14 years of experience in tax law, business law, and litigation, working for the Provincial Government of Bataan, two accounting companies in the Philippines, and the ARC Group of Companies.
When this core group was formed at the beginning of 2021, their goal was to improve the public accounting profession in the country by providing excellent service with unwavering dedication and honesty.
Now that BDO CMC is officially part of the BDO network, it’s time for them to take the lead in the Philippines.
