I guess we all waited for this. The official announcement of the successor to the popular selfie expert F1s, the OPPO F3 Plus is now official.
It has been launched in the Philippines and in four other key cities around the globe.
The F3 Plus sports a 6-inch Full HD display with 2.5D and Gorilla Glass 5 on top for protection.
It is powered by a 64Bit 1.9Ghz Snapdragon 653 CPU coupled with Adreno 510.
Furthermore, there is a 4G + 64G configuration which is enhanced by microSD support up to 256G.
Still housed in a premium all-metal aluminum body, the OPPO F3 Plus is still thin at only 7.35mm despite having a huge 4,000mAH battery.
The good news about having that huge battery is that OPPO brought back the VOOC (fast charging) feature to the device. Enabling the F3 plus to charge up to 50% in just half an hour, and a full charge by 1 hour and 20 minutes.
The main attraction to the F3 Plus is the dual selfie camera. The first front camera sports a 16MP F/2.0 with Autofocus while the second camera has 8MP with 120 degrees wide ajngle camera.
The rear camera can’t be left out, it has 16MP F/1.7 Sony IMX398 sensor. It has dual PDAF, OIS, records 4K video, and dual tone LED flash.

Initial Review
The camera is not something new to the OPPO F3 Plus. What I mean to say is that it has the same quality as in the F1s. Super clear and fast to focus. But there is a yellowish color to it but that is just minor. There is a little delay when you turn on the Auto HDR feature though.
The dual-selfie camera delivers a new level of excitement to users. The first camera has 16MP with F/2.0 with autofocus. Now you can take better selfie shots and select the focus point. The other camera allows taking group shots as it has 120 degrees wide angle camera with 8MP.
Battery life
The benchmark showed an average of 11hrs of battery life. And to charge it, using the VOOC charger, it will only take an hour and a half to fill up the whole 4,000mAH battery.

The Antutu Benchmark gave OPPO F3 Plus a score of 91,810.
The RAM & Storage
This is the ideal configuration, a 4GB RAM and a 64G internal storage. This is justified because the 16MP rear camera takes 4K video and it will eat up so much storage.
But it doesn’t stop there. Should you need additional storage, give up the second SIM slot and install up to 256G of microSD drive.
Verdict
Anything that is more than P20 is already expensive to me. But let’s talk about some winning points of the OPPO F3 Plus.
Super premium and great design. Still slim even with the huge 4,000mAH battery. The VOOC, fast charging feature is one of the best features. It is widely needed by the huge battery.
The cameras are already great, but the addition of the 8MP 120 degrees wide angle camera, will enable selfie enthusiast to take group photos, hassle-free.
So, the only concern is the price. If this device will be priced below P20k, I’ll consider getting one.
